Ben Higgins’ journey to find true love concludes Monday night, in which he’ll pop the question against a tropical backdrop to one of the remaining finalists, Lauren B. or Jojo. While the 27-year-old suitor already confirmed that the lucky lady accepted his proposal, his road to the altar has been anything but a walk in the park. Before the future Mrs. Ben Higgins is revealed, here’s what to expect from what will likely be a memorable finale. Saying ‘I love you’ twice will come back to haunt Ben Saying “I love you” to someone special is an incredible feeling, but when your significant other is spewing the same sentiment to another individual, it’s a bit disenchanting. After telling both Lauren and Jojo that he was in love with them during their overnight stays in the Fantasy Suites, the decision to do so is bound to blow up in his face before he gets down on one knee. While it may be possible to love multiple people, can Ben really love these women equally? Definitely not as, one gal will walk away with a Neil Lane rock while the other goes home brokenhearted. Jojo is unclear about her future with Ben Before accepting a possible proposal from her boyfriend of several weeks, Jojo is curious to know what her future with Ben holds should she say yes. During their final date together, the Texas-bred beauty tells Ben that she is committed to him, doing whatever it takes on her end to make it work. But because she and Ben haven’t really discussed the next step following the show, a cloud of uncertain looms over their courtship. Mama and Papa Higgins’ opinions will weigh in to Ben’s final decision As an only child, Ben is relatively close with his parents. And now that the time has come for him to select a wife, he’s naturally reaching out to mommy and daddy for support. Though Mrs. Higgins discloses that she would pick Jojo if the decision were up to her, Ben is still conflicted over his feelings for Lauren. But after hearing what they have to say, it’s possible Ben could be swayed his family’s way. A bathroom breakdown could wreck a relationship With a proposal looming, Ben’s potential fiancée, namely Jojo, wants to know where he stands with her. But instead of sitting down near the beach for the pow-wow, it takes place in a lavatory of all places. As the cameras roll, Ben is overheard confessing his feelings for Jojo. But when she presses him about whether or not he’s in love with Lauren too, Ben admits that he is with Jojo’s cries as the only response. Ben’s final good-bye will crush the woman he rejects Though Ben dreams of riding off into the sunset with his bride-to-be, first, there’s the matter of dumping girlfriend no. 2. to attend to. With a ring in his pocket and a lump in his throat, the Indiana native can barely keep it together while filming his pre-engagement confessional. “I have to say goodbye to a woman who doesn’t deserve it. Saying goodbye to her doesn’t feel right. This is the biggest mistake I’ve made,” Ben says, holding back tears. “I don’t want to say goodbye because that’s how much I love her.
