Now presiding — Judge Palin? Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has signed a deal to develop a “Judge Judy”-style courtroom show, a publicist for the production company confirmed. The project, first reported by People, is set up with Montana-based production company Warm Springs, which will now shoot a pilot and try to sell the syndicated daytime show to local TV stations around the country. Serving as executive producer on the untitled show is Larry Lyttle, who is the man behind popular court shows “Judge Judy” and “Judge Joe Brown.” Unlike those hosts, Palin’s resume — as onetime vice presidential candidate, author and Fox News pundit — does not include a law degree. But she has been a fairly regular reality TV presence since leaving office in 2009, starring in “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” for TLC and “Amazing America with Sarah Palin” on the Sportsman Channel. The timeline for the project is unclear, as Palin recently left the campaign trail, where she has been stumping for Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, to be with her husband Todd, who is in intensive care in an Alaska hospital following a serious snowmobile accident. But should the show get picked up, it could be on the air as soon as fall 2017.
